The joint Master’s programme of GATE Institute and the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University is now accepting applications for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Applications are now open for the Master’s Programme in Big Data Technologies, jointly developed by the GATE Institute and the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (FMI) at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. The programme prepares students for careers in some of today’s fastest-growing fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Data Engineering.
The curriculum combines a strong academic foundation with hands-on learning, real-world projects, and access to GATE’s state-of-the-art research and technology infrastructure. Students benefit from learning alongside internationally recognised researchers and faculty members while participating in research and innovation projects carried out in collaboration with academic and industry partners.
The programme covers key topics such as Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Big Data Technologies, Cloud Computing, Data Engineering, Data Visualisation, and Intelligent Systems, providing graduates with the knowledge and practical skills required for successful careers in both research and the technology sector.
