Prof. Dessislava Petrova-Antonova, GATE’s Future Cities Lead, represented the Institute in the B40 Balkan Cities Network Summit, hosted in Sofia. She took part in the panel discussion “Smart Governance in the Balkans: Cities as Catalysts for AI and Tech Innovation.”

GATE is a partner in the recently started DataPACT project and will contribute to setting a new standard for compliance, ethics, and sustainability in AI and data operations. Funded by the European Commission, DataPACT aims to provide a comprehensive framework that integrates compliance seamlessly into data and AI pipelines, fostering trust, transparency, and responsible innovation.
Bulgaria was proudly represented by GATE Institute at the European Big Data Value Forum (BDVAF) 2024 in Budapest, where the prestigious Silver i-Space Label was received from the Big Data Value Association (BDVA).
